COVID Aid for Nepal

The situation in Nepal is in dire straits with the new infections and deaths rising.

The government of Nepal has made all hospitals reserve at least 20% of its bed for patients infected with Covid.

This includes the Leprosy Mission’s Anandaban Hospital, a specialist hospital in Nepal treating leprosy patients.

This hospital, normally undertakes surgeries and reconstructive surgeries for leprosy patients in Nepal and neighbouring regons of India.

There is now an urgent call for help from the Anandaban Hospital as they have to aquire resources for, and set up to treat COVID patients.

Through our friends, The Leprosy Mission Australia, we will be supporting the Ananbadan Hospital based on our SmartAid principles of delivering the aid that people want.

Our support will allow the hospital to source Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to protect their medical and front line staff as well as other patients.
