PETER FAULKNER
Chair and Treasurer
Peter is a retired mechanical engineer who has worked both overseas and within Australia.
He was responsible for the set-up and management of a ceramic magnet company in Chennai, India.
Peter was also co-owner and Director of Bendigo and Northcote Potteries.
Peter has been involved in International Aid projects for more than 20 years and was one of the founders of Disaster Aid Australia in 2010.
Member of Rotary Club of Greater Dandenong and Endeavour Hills.
BRIAN ASHWORTH
CEO and Director
Brian is a retired Chartered Civil Engineer with 40 years experience in the UK and Australian Water Industries.
He has extensive experience is delivering International Aid Projects involving both disaster responses and safe water installations
Previous board experience includes Maffra Hospital Board and the South Gippsland Health Service.
He has been a Rotarian for 30 years including being a Past President of Rotary Club of Hoppers Crossing.
Member of Rotary Club of Greater Dandenong and Endeavour Hills.
Dr ANGELINE LOW
Deputy Chair
Angeline has more than 25 years on Boards of International charity and development organisations.and
in addition she has many years of professional and business experience.
Her last corporate appointment was as Director of Asia Pacific Consulting of Deloitte Australia based in Sydney.
She holds a PhD in entrepreneurship research.
Duncan Hedditch
Director
Duncan was born in Portland, Victoria in 1953.
After a roles in Telecommunications, Research and Electronic Design, Duncan has spent more than 30 years in a variety of assignments in the Aluminium Industry with majors Alcoa and Rio Tinto.
During the latter 20 years he held senior positions as Managing Director of the Krasnoyarsk, Russia, Aluminium Smelter, CEO of Emirates Aluminium, Abu Dhabi, and COO of Pacific Aluminium’s Northern Territory operations.
Presently Duncan holds a small number of other directorships, both for different businesses and for non-profit organisations, including Disaster Aid Australia. Duncan first became a Rotary member around 1988. (Portland, Krasnoyarsk and Phillip Island and San Remo clubs)
Duncan married Annelies in 1976 and they have three sons and eleven grandchildren..
CHARLIE SPEIRS
Director
Charlie qualified in Civil Engineering with Post Graduate qualifications in Labour/ Management Relations and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
He has over 30 years experience working in the Victorian Power Industry.
Starting as a Mine Planning Engineer with the State Electricity Commission in 1979 he has had many roles through to General Manager, Mining Loy Yang Mine.
From 2009 until retirement in 2013 he held the position: Director Clean Coal Victoria for the Department of Primary Industries.
Charlie is a committed Rotarian who served as Rotary District 9820 Governor 2014-2015.
JOHN HEATHCOTE
Director
Until recently, John was the owner for 30 years of national insurance Company, Consolidated Insurance Agencies Pty Ltd.
He remains a licensed insurance broker.
Member of Rotary Club of Greater Dandenong and Endeavour Hills.
CHERIE RAMSEY

Cherie has just undergone a change of career to Primary Teaching, completing a Masters Degree in 2017.
Previously she spent 19 years working in retail operations and finance
She has been a Rotarian for 5 years including being a Past President of Endeavour Hills Rotary Club.

A founder member of Disaster Aid Australia, and Past President of Endeavour Hills Rotary Club.
Martin now retired, formally owned a glazing business.
Life member of Life Education Victoria and involved in a range of other volunteer organisations.
Life Member of Rotary Club of Greater Dandenong and Endeavour Hills.

Director
Maria is founder of Calmar Corps a S.M.A.R.T. Technology provider to small business and charities.
10% of the companies profits are channeled to their ‘Capability with Conscience’ program, to support the life-saving and world changing work of Not-for-Profit NGO partners.
MARK HUMPHRIES
Director
Mark Humphries has spent more than 30 years working in the Education sector, where he has focused on designing, implementing, and supporting IT services and infrastructure across multiple Victorian schools.
Over that time, he has built a reputation for practical problem‑solving and helping schools make the most of their technology.
Mark’s involvement in community service began early in life, and it has remained a consistent thread. Long-standing dedication to supporting others naturally led him to Rotary, where he took on a range of leadership roles over the years.
In 2020–2021, Mark served as District Governor for Rotary District 9820, guiding clubs through an exceptionally challenging period and helping them remain connected during the early days of COVID. Mark is a member of the Rotary Club of Inverloch.
