2023 Conference

On the 19th of November Disaster Aid Australia held our Annual Conference in Dandenong.

The conference is an opportunity to present the Annual Report to members and hear from a wide range of speakers who are all committed to helping developing countries.

Andrew Gunn and Phil Gribble talked about their deployment to Nepal to inspect existing SkyHydrants and install additional units.

CEO Brian Ashworth reviewed our first 13 years with ‘How We got Here . . . and Where to Next’ and provided information about the history of our Timor Leste, our major new initiative.

Cherie Ramsay presented a report on the 15 SkyHydrants installed in the Philipinnes over the past year and also introduced a video about the completion of our long term project to deliver 50 SKyHydrants to Colombia.

To help keep participants engaged Jan Burney ran some thought provoking activities, providing a break from sitting and listening

As well as Disaster Aid Australia speakers we were able to hear from:

  • Max Bird of Rotary Projects Timor Leste East.
  • Una Hobday of Food Plant Solutions
  • Nick Woodhams of WH WASH Consultants.
