Dinagat Island

Our partner Balay Mindanaw has workers on Dinagat Island one of the most affected communities
The island has a population of 130,000.
Of the 22,000 houses in the entire province, it is estimated that 95% are damaged (about 20,000)
Reported Deaths: 15.
Food warehouses have been badly damaged.
Action to Date
Two Disaster Aid AUstralia SkyHydrants are currently providing thousands of litres of safe drinking water.
Balay Mindanaw supported by DAA, and others, are purchasing, and transporting from Mindano
- Family sized packages of rice,
- Tarpaulins for temporary repair of homes.

With over 375 dead and many more missing this has been one of the worst typhoons to hit the Philippines.
Supported by the Rotary Club of Pasig we have 7 SkyHydrants ready to ship to communities in Cebu City, Siargao, and Northern Bohol.
These will be shipped as soon as air freight space can be found.
